Walkies for a cause! Pride Unleashed is the newest challenge in the Sweat with Pride family, designed as a fun, accessible way for people to raise funds while spending time with their furry friends.
Participants sign up to walk 100km (or a goal of their choice) with their dog throughout October — tracking their progress, sharing their journey, and raising money along the way.

The brief
With limited time and budget, the focus was on delivering a lightweight but engaging fundraising experience on the Funraisin platform. The build needed to be quick to market, cost-conscious, but still engaging and on-brand as part of the Sweat with Pride family.
What we delivered
Key features of our Pride Unleashed build included:
Personalised dog-centric profiles
We integrated custom fields for the dog’s name, which flowed through to supporter comms, fundraising profile pages, and even the leaderboards.

Smart communications
We used Funraisin’s new built-in Messages system for triggered and instant email updates, alongside Campaign Monitor for longer onboarding journeys. Both were personalised with details like the dog’s name, creating a warm and personal supporter experience.
Seamless fitness tracking
Integration with apps like Strava allowed participants’ walkies to be automatically updated on their fundraising pages, keeping progress visible and motivating while reducing the admin overhead for participants.

Rewards shop with optional donations
Alongside the core fundraising functionality, we added a customised Rewards shop. Using a tailored version of Funraisin’s built-in Shop module, participants could redeem free rewards (like a rainbow doggy bandana) directly from their dashboard. To support fundraising, we also introduced the option for participants to add a donation at checkout — for example, covering postage costs or giving a little extra.

The result
Even with a pared-back build, Pride Unleashed delivered a distinctive experience that felt connected to Sweat with Pride while standing on its own. The campaign shows how targeted features and smart integrations can create something fun, personal, and fundraising-ready — even on a tight turnaround and budget.
Pride Unleashed 2025 is in progress at the time of writing, with thousands of dollars raised and nearly 900 participants signed up and ready for the October challenge.
